September 2019 Diary

We’ve got a busy September on the cards, following our successful exhibition launch last Saturday at Lordship Hub.

Club Exhibition News

Our exhibition is featured in this month’s Tottenham Community Press, where you can see a selection of images alongside a nice piece about us from member Stephen Furner. Download a copy and read about us on page 12.

The exhibition is on display at the cafe in Lordship Hub throughout September and is open 11am to 5pm seven days a week.

Camera Basics

This coming Friday (6 Sep 2019) we have a FREE talk about getting to grips with your camera, led by professional photographer Andrew Jackson. If you don’t know your f stop from your ISO, or want to know more about shutter speed, white balance or composition, this is the session for you.

Andrew will help demystify all the basics of your camera – so bring it along with you to get practical help and advice. We’re not camera snobs: phones, point and shoots, SLRs and everything in between are very welcome!

Join us at Lordship Hub from 7-9pm.

September Shootout: North London Uprising, 7 Sep 2019

This Saturday (7 Sep 2019) is our monthly group shootout, and we’re staying close to home. Extinction Rebellion Haringey, Islington, Camden, Enfield and Barnet are joining together to bring a weekend of actions, workshops, trainings and local musicians to Wood Green and Turnpike Lane.

Tottenham Photography Club are going along to capture some of the action. We’re meeting at 9:45am outside Morrisons, High Road, Wood Green, London, N22 6SU at 9:45 ready to photograph the funeral protest march from Wood Green to Turnpike Lane stations

If you haven’t been to a shootout before and would like to meet up with someone a little earlier, please get in touch via our Facebook group and and we’ll pair you up with a friendly face who can introduce you to everyone.

You can dip in and out as you like, as more events will take place in nearby Downhills Park over the whole weekend. There’s more information on the North London Uprising Facebook page.

Monthly Meeting

Our regular monthly meeting is on 11 Sep at 7pm, also at Lordship Hub. After brief business we use the meetings to review members’ photos from the preceding shootout and the monthly theme. This month’s theme is Beaches, and there’s still time to submit your pictures for discussion and appreciation at the meeting.
